it won't let me comment with my username. it's showing my real first and last name. can I change that?

Did you make your account recently? That's the way it works now, for new account.. Since my account is years old I believe it still uses my username/channelname instead of my real name.. I'd personally rather have it use my real name than my username.

why? fyi youtube, it's possible for two people to have the same name. I've seen someone w/ my name in movie credits once.

Doesn't bother me any. It's ME that's commenting, not my channel. Now when you make youtube accounts you start out with your Google account name, and then you add a channel/'username' afterwards, if you want to upload videos. That makes a lot more sense to me.
